One Month In College.

Hello friends.

Wow! It has been awhile. I have missed my Blog OH SO MUCH.
I have been adjusting to college life, which has been overwhelming, crazy and amazing all in one. I just needed some time to get myself together, if you know what I mean.

I have officially been in college for exactly One Month. Woah.
Time has truly flown by.

I just wanted to post a reflection on things I've learned and some of my memorable experiences from this month.

» Throughout the first two weeks of college it was hard. I missed my parents, friends and home A LOT.  I cried myself to self many a night. But I knew it was okay, I needed to get it out of my system.  Lucky for me, I was able to see my family over Labor Day Weekend and I will see them again at the end of the month.

» I have met SO MANY amazing and talented people. My school is centered around entertainment and business and there are singers and musicians every where and they are all very talented. From my classes to my hall to just walking around I have met people from all across the U.S. I love it. It amazes me how a school can bring together so many different types of people and build one huge family.

» The cafeteria food is delicious. I was quite hesitant on eating the cafeteria food every day. But surprisingly its very good. My school has a variety of meals they serve and they are all gourmet in my opinion. Also it is has not be a challenge to eat healthy. Above every food item they list the calories and information about the food, I love that.

» My classes and teachers are incredible. I got very lucky with my courses this year. I am honestly learning more than I ever imagined and it is all interesting and fun. I have yet to have a boring class. Although college does require a lot of reading, I enjoy it still.

» I have totally stepped out of my box. I joined the intramural Kick Ball team with a couple of my new friends ( P.S we have our final game tonight). I went Rock Climbing for the first time and made it to the top. Whoo! I joined Young Life, which has been an awesome experience so far. I joined a local church and have met awesome people through that. I participated in a Showcase Series and was in charge of filming the bands during the show, it was amazing. I am mentoring refugee high school students which is such an eye opening experience. I also joined a series of clubs that I am super excited for.

» I have built a closer relationship to God. Since I am on my own now, without my mom and dad who usually guide me and help me all the time. I knew I needed someone to be there for me 24/7 and someone I could trust. God.

All in all college is amazing. I am enjoying every second of it. I hope anyone else out there that is in college and even high school is making memories to last a lifetime.

Sincerely,
