Currently needing Spring to arrive NOW, goodbye bone chilling cold and hello pollen..?
I have a love/hate relationship with the spring season.
Loves:: light, loose and fresh styles. Hates:: pollen and midterms.
My love for spring tends to triumph every year. With spring being just around the corner (thank goodness) I want to share with you all my style cravings and essentials that will be in my wardrobe. This season, I am focusing on effortless and timeless pieces. One of my resolutions for 2015, is to stop buying things for the moment, but to buy things that will last a lifetime. I will be honest, it has been extremely hard, but I know it will save my wallet and closet in due time.
Neutrals play a huge role in my spring wardrobe. My eyes have been drawn to pastels and creams this season, such as the pastel pink Shirt Dress and the ghost white Linen Top from Madewell. I have also been loving (actually OBSESSED) with stripes. Any shape, style and form of stripes are needed and wanted in my closet. Going through the history of fashion, stripes have consistently stayed in trend.
Then of course are the ever loving Boyfriend Jeans. To be honest, it took me some time to get into the boyfriend jeans trend. I thought the bagginess was not attractive. But turns out, this pair from H&M are the perfect slouchy, yet fitted pair. Spring Essentials would not be complete without a variety of accessories. Retro sunnies, minimalist gold necklaces and pattern scarves are the three ways I "spice" up my simple and basic wardrobe, you just can't go wrong.
I wanted to feature this chic Leather Passport from H&M, that I actually found yesterday. This passport is perfect for all of you spring breakers traveling abroad (I wish!). Closing my spring essentials, would have to be my favorite items, white sneakers and two tone flats. These shoes have been taking over (my Pinterest feed). They fulfill two important qualities I look for in any type of clothing or accessory; comfort and chic.
Be on the look out for some more quirky and fun style posts coming soon! Happy (almost) Spring!
