2014 REFLECTIONS.

H A P P Y  N E W  Y E A R.

Today on Ever Wonder I am reflecting on the amazing year of 2014. This was a year of new experiences and new memeories. A year of many highs and many lows. And a year of a chapter closing and a chapter beginning.

H I G H L I G H T S from 2014
(left to right; top row to bottom row)

1// During the month of February, I took a trip to my second home, the happiest place on earth and slightly ironic place to turn eighteen... Disney World. I felt complete happiness and created wonderful memories with my best friend aka my mom. I also became an adult according to the U.S Legal System.

2// PROM. My senior prom was another BIG highlight from 2014. I have always heard that your senior prom is a night you will never forget whether it be good or whether it be bad. I thoroughly enjoyed the night of March 22nd, 2014. So many memories I made with my high school peers that I will always cherish.

3// NEW YORK CITY. My year would not be complete without a trip to the Big Apple. There is something about this city that I love oh so much. I feel at home in every way.

4// CATS. This is probably a confusing picture to some of you. But this picture represents my first step to truly breaking out of my box. In high school, I was not friends with many of my peers who were in drama or theatre. Till this day, I get mad at myself for not branching out from my friend group until my senior year. This picture shows the moment that I stepped out of that box and exposed myself to new people and inspiration.

5// Number five is a big one. I finally received that little piece of paper they call a diploma. Graduating high school was something I barely have words to describe. I loved high school even with all of its drama, stress and all of the above. And when the time came to leave it, I was sad. I was sad to say goodbye to the place that built me and to my friends who became my family.

6// This picture represents SUMMER. The beach and ocean are peaceful places that I feel content. These feelings are how I felt this summer, content with life. I was happy and excited for the journey ahead.

7// COLLEGE. I still can't believe I am in college. College has been such an incredible experience and I have only seen one semester of it. I have been opened to so many new types of people, become exposed to a whole new world and fallen in love with my school and Nashville. I have built a relationship with my Savior and have become a matured person.

8// My Grandpa. You know how I mentioned there were many highs and many lows during 2014. Well this was the low. In November I lost my Grandpa. This is something that is still really hard to talk about and even write about. All I can say is,  I love my grandpa Ernest. He taught me to always be kind to everyone and continue to stay on the path to my future. I miss him so much but I know I will be with him someday.

9// New Friendships. My parents always told me that the friends you make in college are the people who will be standing next to you at your wedding. I believe this to be so true, seeing that my parents are almost in their sixties and still have an incredibly close bond with their college peers. During my first semester of college, I have met so many wonderful souls and have created friendships that will last a lifetime.

10// As you can see there is not a tenth picture, this picture represents 2015. To the new memories, goals, experiences, loves and losses that I will make and overcome. I am so blessed to be alive and ready for the plans He has created for me in the new year.

I am wishing you all an amazing and incredible 2015!

Love,
