School's out SCREAM and SHOUT!
As much as I miss Nashville (which is quite a lot) it feels good to be home. Now that its officially summer break, I am cranking up the blog to a whole new level. I have a year of change, discovery and learning under my belt (shoutout to college) and I am ready to dive into another creative zone for the summer.
I am from Atlanta aka HOTlanta and my first weekend back, the temperatures were in the middle to high eighties. With weather like this easy, comfy and chic outfits are my uniform for summer. Since overalls are making a come back, I knew I wanted to try out this trend for myself. I purchased this perfect pair of overalls from Target recently and I absolutely love them. They fit my shape perfectly, loose on the bottom half and airy on the top half. I must admit I was hesitant to buy these at first, I thought they would make me look childish or resemble a farmer, but to be honest they were the exact opposite. Overalls are such a versatile piece of clothing, you can go from chic to comfy in a matter of seconds.
Styling these overalls was a lot of fun, I have created a variety of outfits that I want to try out this summer. I decided to wear one of my favorite tops from Madewell under the overalls to add a more feminine touch. The v-neck creates a perfect opening for a necklace of any kind, while showing a little skin. To keep the outfit causal, I wore my newest and probably all time favorite shoe, my Birkenstocks. I have joined the "birks" wagon. These shoes are honest to goodness so comfortable and just an easy shoe to have. As I say, "when in doubt, birk it out". I also accessorized with my leather satchel, a dainty Madewell Ring, Nordstrom marble studs and Urban Outfitter sunnies.
