STYLE | Red, White & Old Navy.

Today we recognize and remember all the strong men and women who have fought and given their lives for this country. Those veterans are brave. Those veterans are strong. Those veterans are fighters. Those veterans are our Heroes. This day is to remember, cherish and honor you.

Happy Memorial Day!

Nothing says American Pride like Old Navy, I have been an Old Navy fan for quite some years now. From the traditional Old Navy 4th of July tee shirts to this perfect Cotton Stripe Dress, Old Navy is a winner for me.

A close friend of my mine saw this dress at Old Navy and it instantly reminded her of a dress from Madewell. Although I love Madewell, I am not the biggest fan of their expensive price tag, so I purchased this dress for $36 instead! It took me three different Old Navy stores to finally find my size, I ended up buying a Medium in red. I love everything about this dress, except for the thick cotton fabric, not the best choice of clothing to wear in 85 degree weather! Besides that, the dress is super comfortable, very simple and cute.

When wearing such a minimalistic dress, accessories are needed. Its always a constant battle for me with wearing too much jewelry or not enough. I always try to find a in-between which is hard. Looking back at these pictures, I wish I would have worn some type of neck candy. Anyone else have this problem?

I absolutely love these flats I picked up from Old Navy. The peep toe flats are definitely a big summer trend. They are an easy shoe to slip on with just about any outfit. I wore these flats with a pattern jumpsuit, overalls and good ole jean shorts. I also paired this dress with a Straw Panama hat from Forever 21. I am always cautious when purchasing hats, with my curly fro its hard to find hats that fit around my big head and fro. But after some searching, this one won the case.

I couldn't forget about my jean jacket, which is basically the one jacket I bring everywhere. I believe every person, kid, male and female should have a jean jacket in their wardrobe. I then added my vintage (a few resales old) Hobo Wallet with the outfit. I am in search for a simple clutch, that is not a wallet. If anyone has any good places to find a clutch, please leave them in the comments!
